The Association of Banks Malaysia (ABM) and its members have pledged 50 scholarships worth RM10,000 each to Malaysian students in their final
year of tertiary education.
The ABM 50th Merdeka Scholarship was being offered in conjunction with the nation’s 50th anniversary of Independence.
Preference will be given to deserving students from lower income families and students should apply directly to the association’s member banks
before Aug 30.
Students should have cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and are currently not receiving financial aid or rewards from any

Attained CGPA 3.5 or higher

Not currently in receipt of any fi nancial aid or rewards from any
organisations

Agree to serve the sponsoring institution for 1 year, if
required
Scholarship Value RM10,000 per candidate.
How to apply Interested candidates may write directly to the banks listed below, enclosing the following:-
Personal details and passport-sized photograph
Previous years’ results and/or forecast results of the last examination
Department Head or Dean must endorse application
Deserving students from lower income families will be given preference.
