A. PRE-UNIVERSITY, OVERSEAS PREPARATORY PROGRAMME
* A-LEVEL, AMERICAN FOUNDATION PROGRAM, AUSTRALIAN MATRICULATION
Minimum Requirements
* Passed the 2007 SPM examination with at least 8 1A’s
* Not exceeding 19 years old of age on 1 July 2008
Additional Requirements
* Good command of the English language, both written and oral
* Flexible, versatile and posses high teamwork capabilities
* Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports
Sponsorship to pursue Bachelor Degree (Honours) at foreign universities will be extended subject to meeting the approved criteria.
B. FIRST DEGREE (HONOURS) ( Application will be open from 24 March 2008 )
* LOCAL AND FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES
Minimum Requirements
Fulfilling at least one of the following criteria:
* STPM / A-Level - at least 2 A and 1 B; or
* Diploma / Matriculation - Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.50; or
* Australian Matriculation - TER of at least 85% ; or
* For candidates currently pursuing First Degree - Current CGPA of at least 3.50.
* Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
* Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2008
* Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue a First Degree in 2008 at recognised local or foreign universities
Additional Requirements

* Flexible, versatile and posses high teamwork capabilities
* Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports
Students who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) at recognised foreign universities are also eligible to apply.
C. MASTER’S DEGREE AND PhD
* (LOCAL and FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES)
Minimum Requirements
* Obtained a First Class (Honours) Bachelor / Master’s Degree or equivalent from recognised local and foreign universities
* Will pursue courses that will add value to the roles and functions of Bank Negara Malaysia
* Not exceeding 30 years old for Master and 35 years old for PhD.
* Passed SPM with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English subjects
* Have confirmed or will be offered a place to pursue Master’s / Doctorate Degree in 2008 at recognised local or foreign universities
Those who fulfilled the minimum requirements are required to send a written application to Scholarship Section, Bank Negara Malaysia along with these documents:
* Curriculum Vitae / Resume
* Certified copy of Bachelor Degree’s / Master’s Degree’s results
* Letter of recommendation from previous or current university
* One (1) page of Abstract / Executive Summary of your proposed research
Post graduate students who are currently pursuing Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree (PhD) at recognised local or foreign universities are also eligible to apply.

Hi there. I have a friend from Tajikistan and the country is really in poverty and because of that she is unable to pursue her dreams to further her studies. She is currently studying a distance learning economics from their local university which is not recognised anywhere in the world. She is a muslim from Tajikistan. I do hope the bank will be able to grant her a scholarship to pursue further studies. Is she eligible to apply for the scholarship? Please advise. Thank you.

I had been to the Bank Negara to ask for the appication forms manually, but they said the application only can be done through internet. However, the online system is a bit unstable, so many applicants tried to log in but failed. Could someone suggest better way to get the forms?

i’ve 4A’s for my SPM in 2005, n i’m now pursuing my diploma in Management studies. i’m in my final year n my CGPA is increasing til the rate of 3.27 (I ‘m very confident that I wil be able to increase my CGPA in the future.) I wanted to further my studies at UK for my degree, possible field of study will be Bachelor in Economics, Bachelor in International Business, and Bachelor in Business Administration. my family income is approximately RM1,000, and I’m now currently working part-time to support my own living cost, to pay for my diploma tuition fees (approx. I encountered an error during registeration, so I do hope anyone can help me with this ASAP due to the deadline….not to forget, I’m currently in NS and obtained 9A’s for SPM. I want to pursue my study in biomedical Science either locally or overseas but my family cant afford me. Both my parents had retired and i hv 4 younger sisters to support. With is scholarship, my financial problem definitely can be solved and also reduce my family burden. Thanks in advance~

I’ve tried opening the website to apply for undergraduate sponsorship. But , I can’t seem to find the page.

i’m currently an undergraduate of a local university…i have just finish my 1st year…going to proceed to 2nd year soon…am i still qualified to apply for this scholarship?

I got 3A in Pengajian Am, Mathematics T., Physics and A- in Chemistry. Iwant to study Acturies and I overlook the closing date. Do I stand a chance?

i this year study CAT/ACCA program at KTC college Johor Bahru. It is a foundation program and next year will proceed to ACCA program (degree in accounting). Can i apply a bank negara scholarship or other related scholarship that you can suggest to me?

Dear Sir/Madam,
I’ve just graduated my Honours year in Architecture in Scotland and would like to accept the offer to continue into the post-graduate program. Due to financial problem, I feel that i wouldn’t be able to meet the fees required as the program starts in September 2008 and this is the only chance I have as the school is changing the course’s framework starting next year. I see that engineering is included in your field of subjects but am wondering if you offer exceptional scholarships for students like me but in the architecture field???
