THE Sosial Strategic Foundation (YSS) set up by the MIC has urged eligible Malaysian Indians to apply for admission to the fully-funded industrial training programmes scheduled to commence in January, reported Malaysia Nanban.
YSS executive director Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria said those aged between 17 and 30 with passes in Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics and any Science subject in their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) were eligible to apply.
He said applications could be sent between now and Oct 21 for 37 types of certificate-level courses, including electrical, automotive, information technology, printing and mechanical courses, which were being provided at 21 institutes nationwide.
He said successful candidates would receive full scholarship, comprising free tuition, training, accommodation and a monthly allowance.
He said young Indians should take this opportunity to equip themselves with some technical skills and become skilled workers.
