HSBC (Malaysia) has always placed great emphasis on fostering and encouraging further education. Amongst HSBC Malaysia’s current initiatives include setting aside a scholarship fund*, holding the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards to encourage entrepeneurship amongst Malaysian undergraduates, as well as a programme geared towards strengthening English literacy in Malaysia.

The HSBC Scholarship Award aims to assist malaysian students from low-income backgrounds from all over the country to undertake further studies in both local public and private universities and colleges by providing HSBC malaysian scholarship.
HSBC prides itself as an organization that places great emphasis on the importance of education in our community. It is also a key focus area in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As part of our commitment to the local community in Malaysia, HSBC’s Scholarship Awards aims to provide an opportunity for under-privileged youths to pursue their dream in higher education.

Now in its fifth year, the HSBC Scholarship Awards aims to do just that by enabling deserving needy students to complete a 3-year degree programme with a scholarship from HSBC. The HSBC Scholarship Award aims to assist students from low-income backgrounds from all over the country to undertake further studies in both local public and private universities and colleges.Selection criteria will be based on financial needs and academic performances.

I’m going to further my study in master of clinical nutrition at National University of Malaysia.
I have offered with this course and going start this course by July 2010.

I was one of the scholarship receiver for 2009.
You might want to go to HSBC Malaysia’s Website http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/my/ to find out more. Like previous year, successful applicants will be called for an interview. Only then HSBC will inform who is going to receive the scholarship awards. The best thing about this scholarship, you don’t have any bond with the bank and you do not have to pay back the scholarship.
